With over forty years experience and over a third of a million plans sold, we take Do-It-Yourself seriously. We keep in mind the viewpoint of the beginner builder with all our projects, which are built with the simplest household hand tools using materials that can be found in the local Home Centers. Our plans are easy to follow with detailed diagrams and in convenient formats. All of our projects have been built by complete beginners - even our most ambitious cruising sailboats (one of which was built by a 14-year old). Many of our builders have accomplished project dreams they never thought possible and have ended up with life-changing adventures.
